Orchestra of St Paul's

Led by Musical Director Ben Palmer, the Orchestra of St Paul's is made up almost exclusively of young professional musicians and postgraduate conservatoire students. The ensemble brings together some of the finest young orchestral players in London, who between them have performed with such orchestras as the London Symphony Orchestra, European Union Youth Orchestra, Southbank Sinfonia and the National Youth Orchestras of Great Britain and Scotland. The orchestra is affiliated to the famous St Paul's Church on the Covent Garden Piazza. OSP's patron is the writer and broadcaster, Norman Lebrecht.

OSP makes its professional debut in August, performing the final concert of the 2008 Budleigh Salterton Festival in Devon; Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale and Walton's Façade with celebrity reciters Richard Baker and Katie Derham. Later that month OSP travels to Suffolk to perform Mozart's Die Zauberflöte at the invitation of the Pimlott Foundation.

If you are interested in playing with OSP, please go to our contact page and send us a CV detailing your training and experience.
